Granola

Young Living's Einkorn Granola is very tasty and it makes for a perfect breakfast or evening snack.  You can eat it hot or cold so it's wonderful for those chilly mornings when you need to get something in your gut but aren't in the mood for cold cereal.  Young Living's Einkorn Granola is made with a combination of naturally sourced grains, nuts, berries and seeds that provide both simple and complex carbohydrates. Add in some of Young Living's Dried Wolfberries and it's a great snack for when you're on the go as well.

With all the yogurt we've been eating I decided to try my hand at making some granola for those 'in between times' when I've run out of my Einkorn Granola.

If you've seen any of my other posts you know I LIKE EASY and this is exactly that.

Ingredients

3 cups old fashioned oatmeal

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup honey (more or less depending on your sweet tooth)

cranberries, raisins, walnuts (pretty much whatever you want)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Add oatmeal cinnamon and almonds to glass dish and toast for approximately 10-15 minutes stirring a couple times while it's toasting.  You should start smelling it's nutty aroma and you can take it out then.

Add honey and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.  Put back in the oven for 5 minutes then turn off the oven and allow it to cool for approximately 10 minutes.  Be sure and stir the mixture a couple times while it's in the oven.

Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Note:  If you are adding any other goodies add them before your first round in the oven.  I added a drop of Cinnamon Bark Vitality oil to the mix after it had cooled and it gave it and extra cinnamon kick. So good!

Have fun with it. Mix it up a bit.
