Limonene

What is it and what is it good for?

So while doing some research I found a DIY recipe for Qu-inine šŸ˜²

Now, does this recipe have the Q in it? Donā€™t know because the only thing Iā€™ve found that has Q is the Conchona bark which is what they use for tonic water. What I HAVE found is that citrus peels have Limonene and that in itself is awesome!

Hereā€™s what Iā€™ve found in my research

Health Benefits of Citrus peel

šŸ‹Itā€™s  high in antioxidants, including D-limonene and vitamin C. In fact, the peel contains more vitamin C per ounce than the fruit. Studies show the ingestion of antioxidants improves your immune system, reducing the severity and duration of colds, flus, and other viruses.Apr 1, 2020

šŸ‹Limonene is a chemical found in the peels of citrus fruits and in other plants. It is used to make medicine. Limonene is used for obesity, cancer, and bronchitis, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.

šŸ‹Short-term swelling (inflammation) of the airways in the lungs (acute bronchitis).

šŸ‹Limonene can also quell stress and help fight depression and anxiety. In addition to its positive mental health perks, limonene has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and even anti-cancer properties.

Allow to cool completely with the lid on
