Turning Points

It is said that we can expect 3-9 significant turning points in our lives.  Those turning points could be the loss of a loved one, loss of a job, divorce etc.

What we do AFTER those turning points is what determines our future.

Do we sit and dwell on it and get into rut? Or, do we pick ourselves up by our bootstraps, go through the grieving process and move forward to a new tomorrow.

Perhaps that significant turning point wasn't a sad event. Perhaps it was a happy occasion; marriage, birth of a child etc.  How do we handle it?

Positive events can be handled in a negative way as well. Seems crazy I know, but think about how you've acted after a positive turning point in your life. Did you gloat, get prideful etc.?

Even a 'negative' turning point can be turned in to a positive simply by your actions.
